This feature allows you to define advanced sorting of the responses in a question, or of the questions in the tab definition columns, rows or edges. You can sort individual responses or questions to different criteria (for example, sort different responses on different types of data, such as counts or percentages).
To set the advanced sort options, right-click the question or response in the columns, rows or edges tab, and select advanced sort. The advanced sort dialog appears as follows:
response sorting tab. To sort questions, select the question sorting tab.reset response order. The following advanced sort options are available for questions:
Calculation: Select the type of data on which the sort is based. For example, you might choose to sort based on column significativity.
Ascending sort: Select this option if you want the sort order to run from lowest value to highest; leave the option de-selected if you want to sort from lowest to highest.
Row response: This option applies to question sorting only.
If you want to use a specific column, instead of the total column, as the basis of the sort, select it here. For example, if you have a question table that includes an appreciation question, and you want to sort according to the results in the column extremely satisfied, you would select it here (you would also need to change the data level in the tab definition, put the loop question in the tab's rows, and put the sub-question in the tab's columns. In the advanced sort dialog, in calculation you would select the sub-question, and finally, in response, select the result extremely satisfied).
Note: you cannot use a calculated question as the basis for row response.
Question: Select the question whose responses you want to sort.
Column response: Select the response on which you want to base the sort.
Weighting: Set custom weighting options for the sort.
Sub-population: Select the sub-population on which you want to base this sort.
Universe: Select the universe on which you want to base this sort.
Weighting: Select the weighting on which you want to base this sort.
Level: Select the level on which you want to base this sort.
Note: If you leave a setting on default, AskiaAnalyse will use the settings specified in the general tab.
