By superposing questions (AskiaAnalyse)
This feature allows you to create a variable that totals the answers to several similar variables (questions). For example, you might want to create a total awareness question by adding spontaneous awareness and assisted awareness questions.
To create a new question by superposing questions:

In the edit menu select create a variable.... The calculated question window appears.

Select by superposing questions.

Select the OR all responses or AND all responses.

Enter the codes that you want to reject.

Clicking the following icon:

Check that only the selected categories correspond to those you want to total.
Note: If, in your combined question, you want to include a response option from only one of the questions, even though it is present in the other question you plan to use in this superposed calculated variable, do the following:
1. Select the none category in the first question in your list.
2. Select allow lists of different sizes.
3. Clear (de-select) the none category for the other questions in the list.
