  3. Set the other options, as described below.

  5.  If you opted to export a selection of questions (rather than all questions), you are now presented with a list of the questions in your QES:

  6. Copy the questions you want to export to the right-hand list, by using the following buttons:
    move_right Copies the selected question to the right-hand list;
    move_all_right Copies all questions to the right-hand list;
    move_left Removes the selected question from the right-hand list;
    move_all_left Removes all questions from the right-hand list.

Interviews to Word export options

Option Description

RTF file

Type the path and filename of the output file (to which the data will be written), or click ... and specify the path and filename in the file dialog.

Create one file interview

If this option is selected, AskiaTools will create a separate RTF file for each interview. Otherwise, all interviews will be written to a single RTF file.

Export as a table

If this option is selected, AskiaTools exports each interview into Word table, with question labels in the left-hand column and response labels (of the selected responses) in the right-hand column.

If this option is not selected, responses are presented as lists of checkboxes, or write-in boxes, beneath the question label.

Questions

Determines what label is exported for each question (long caption, short caption, shortcut, or shortcut and long caption).

Responses

Determines what label is exported for each response (caption, caption and entry code, entry code).

This option is available only if export as a table is selected.

Export questions: All the questions/A Selection of Questions

Select which questions you wish to export: all questions, or a selection of specific questions (you will be able to specify these questions later in the export process).

System question

Select the system questions you want to export (interview start, interview end, call count, seed or IP address). These are exported at the start of each record.

Export completes only

Select this option if you want to export completed interviews only.
