Find question dialog (AskiaSurf)

This AskiaSurf dialog allows you to quickly find a question in the reconciliation view. To open it, select find question in the edit menu.

To locate a question using the find question dialog:

  1. In find what, type the question's shortcut, short caption or long caption (or just type the first few characters). If you do not know the shortcut or caption of the question you want to locate, you can simply scroll through the question list to look for the question.

  2. In search location, select the aspect of the question you are searching on: shortcut, short caption or long caption.

  3. When you enter your search text, the contents of the questions lists narrows, showing only the questions whose shortcuts match or begin with the text you typed (if search within text is not selected) or contain the text you typed (if search within text is selected). To allow you to see exact text matches quickly (i.e. where the shortcut or caption of  question is exactly the same as the search term you entered), they are highlighted in bold. Note that if you select match case, then the search will only find questions where the case exactly matches (e.g. if you enter q1Loop, the search will find q1Loop but not q1loop or Q1Loop).

  4. In the campaign question or source question list, click the question you want to locate.

  5. Click go to. The dialog closes, and you are taken to the question you selected.
