This feature allows you to create a numeric question that will contain the system information collected during fieldwork with Askia's CATI, CAPI, or CAWI tools.
To access this feature, in the edit menu select create a variable..., then select from interview information. Select the type of variable you want to create, as follows:
Agent: Create a closed variable containing the names of the agents who have worked on the survey. Note:
Agent information is collected only on surveys using CATI or CAPI interviewing modes.
If you opened an AskiaField task, and you specified the DSN for the database (typically DSN=askia_cca), then it is possible to create the variable from agent names.
Interview start time: Create a variable containing the date and time at which the interview started.
Interview end time: Create a variable containing the date and time at which the interview ended.
Interview position: Create a numeric variable containing the serial number of the interview in the QES.
Interview ID: Create a numeric question containing the interview ID.
Interview seed: Create a numerical question containing the interview seed.
Language: Create a category question containing the language used in the interview, when it has been completed.
Completed: Create a category question that records Yes if the interview was completed and No if it was not completed.
IP address: Create an open question containing the IP address of the machine that was used to answer the questionnaire. Note:
In the case of CATI field work, this will be IP address of the agent's machine.
In the case of CAPI fieldwork, this can be the IP address of the router that sends the interview or that of the agent's machine.
In the case of CAWI fieldwork, this can be the IP address of the router that sends the interview, or that of the respondent's machine.
Key strokes: Create a numeric question containing the number of keystrokes used to input the interview.
Agent ID: Create a numeric question containing the agent ID recorded by the system for each interview.
Number of calls: Create a numeric question containing the number of calls made by the system to complete each interview.
Last call result: Create a closed question containing the last call result recorded by the system for each interview.
Last call sub-result: Create a numeric question containing the last call sub-result recorded by the system for each interview.
Revision: Create a numeric question containing the questionnaire revision number used for each interview.
Longitude: Create a numeric question containing the respondent's longitude (from his/her global positioning data, where available).
Latitude: Create a numeric question containing the respondent's latitude (from his/her global positioning data, where available).
