Use this feature to change a loop in your survey, so that the outer loop is switched with the variable it contains. Suppose you have the following loop:
Loop: Brands
Vars: Overall rating
Invert loop would change it to:
Loop: Overall rating
Vars: Brands
As another example, you might start with the following structure in your survey:
Loop1: Statement
Loop2: Brands
Vars: Agreement
To calculate the mean rating for a given brand, you might want to invert Statement and Brands.
Invert loop works with any number of data levels; select the lowest loop or variable first and then the parent loop you want to switch it with.
make source questions invisible in analyse when you invert the loop.To use this feature, in the tools menu, select invert loop.... The following dialog appears:
The following options are available:
Target question: select the question you want to switch.Target shortcut: the shortcut that you want to use for the question, once it has been switched (if you leave this blank, askiatools will pick a shortcut for you).Switch loop: select the loop you want to switch with the selected target question.Switched loop shortcut: the shortcut that you want to use for the loop, once it has been switched (if you leave this blank, askiatools will pick a shortcut for you).Mark source questions invisible in Analyse: if you select this, the original question and loop will be hidden in AskiaAnalyse. Otherwise, they will remain visible.
