Use this feature to save repetitive work when transforming questions into multiples and loops during raw data import (e.g. in ASCII or SAV formats). To save repetition (e.g. whenever you receive a new wave), you can record your actions as a macro, and re-run it on subsequent occasions.
To create a macro:
Open the appropriate *.QES file.
Import the data.
In the tools menu, select macro, and then record.
In askiatools, create your multiple questions and loops. At the bottom right of the screen, the number of actions you have done are indicated.
When you have finished transforming questions, in the tools menu, select macro, then stop. A file dialog appears.
Select a location and name for your macro. It will be saved in XML format.
Whenever you want to re-run this macro on a new file, in the tools menu, select macro then run, and select the XML file you saved earlier.
