The number formatting tab of the table settings dialog allows you to define the format of the numbers in your tables.
The counts area contains the following options:
Digits after decimal point: Specifies the number of decimals that will be used (if left blank, decimal values will not be used). For example, the number 150 will be displayed as 150.00 if you indicate 2 decimals.
Show % sign: If you select this option, the % sign will appear to the right of count values. For example, 150 will become 150%.
Wrap text with parentheses: If selected, this option causes counts to be surrounded by parentheses. For example, 150 becomes (150).
Replace 0 by: If you require a custom character to be displayed in place of null counts, enter it here.
Replace values: If selected, value less than the first specified number will be replaced with the second value you specify.
The percentages area contains the following options:
Digits after decimal point: Specify the number of decimals you require, if you want the percentage values to appear with decimal values. This will also affect the rounding on values. For example, 80 might be displayed as 79.98 if you indicate 2 decimals.
Show % sign: If you select this option, the % sign will appear to the right of percentage values. For example, 80 will become 80%.
Wrap text with parentheses: If selected, this option causes percentage values to be surrounded by parentheses. For example, 80 becomes (80).
Replace 0 by: If you require a custom character to be displayed in place of null percentage values, enter it here.
Replace values: If selected, value less than the first specified number will be replaced with the second value you specify.
The real numbers area affects other values in the table (e.g. mean, standard deviation), and contains the following options:
Digits after decimal point: Specify the number of decimals you require, if you want the other values to appear with decimal values. This will also affect the rounding on values. For example, 2 might be displayed as 1.98 if you indicate 2 decimals.
Show % sign: If you select this option, the % sign will appear to the right of other values. For example, 1.98 will become 1.98%.
Wrap text with parentheses: If selected, this option causes other values to be surrounded by parentheses. For example, 1.98 becomes (1.98).
Replace 0 by: If you require a custom character to be displayed in place of null other values, enter it here.
Replace value: If selected, value less than the first specified number will be replaced with the second value you specify.
The alignment option determines whether numbers will be aligned to the left, centre, or right.
