Options toolbar

To hide or show this toolbar, select options toolbar in the view menu. It contains the following icons:

Icon Name Description
Use global options Causes the global options, as defined in the options dialog, to be used. Local options (see below) will not be used.
Use local options

Causes local options, as defined in a local settings file, to be used. This allows you to apply different settings to different campaigns.

  • Note that only options for question differences and response differences will be applied from the local settings file; in all other cases the global options, as defined in the options dialog, will be used.

  • When a campaign is opened and the local options is found, the local options are applied automatically. Any changes made to the options while the local options are in use are saved to the local options file.

  • This command is available only if a settings file called "SurfLocalOptions.xml" is located in the same directory as the campaign files. To create such a file, from the current global settings, open the general section of the options dialog, and click export....
