Use this feature to export data from a QES file or SQL database to Triple-S (*.sss) format. Both classic Triple-S and XML Triple-S 2.0 are supported.
To export data in triple-S format:
file menu, select export, then triple S.... The triple-S export dialog appears:
OK to proceed. If you opted to export a selection of questions (rather than all questions), you are now presented with a list of the questions in your QES:
Copies the selected question to the right-hand list;
Copies all questions to the right-hand list;
Removes the selected question from the right-hand list;
Removes all questions from the right-hand list.OK. Your data is exported to triple-S format.| Option | Description |

Replace spaces and forbidden characters in shortcuts |
In Triple-S, shortcuts may contain only letters (A-Z, a-z) and digits (0-9), underscore (_) or period (.) characters. Select this if you wish to replace any spaces and other forbidden characters in your question shortcuts with underscore characters. |
| Export questionnaire in Unicode |
Select this if you wish to export the metadata (the questionnaire) in Unicode format. The encoding will be displayed in the XML as UTF-16LE or UTF-8 as appropriate. |
| Use short captions when available |
If you select this option, short captions will be exported where they exist on a question; if a short caption is not present on a question, the question's long caption will be exported. If this option is not selected, long captions will be exported. |

Select this if you wish to export a Unicode data file (for non-Latin alphabets). |
