In AskiaSurf, reconciliation is the process of matching the questions and responses in a new wave with those already in the campaign (i.e. in existing waves). The process of reconciliation is initiated by right-clicking a wave in the campaign tree and selecting reconcile questions; the command is available only when the wave in question has not already been reconciled.
When you begin the process of reconciliation, AskiaSurf automatically analyses the contents of the new wave and compares them to the existing questions and responses in the campaign, making the best matches it can. You can specify which elements of questions and responses are used to automatically match them in the differences group of the options dialog.
Once AskiaSurf has made its automatic matches, the reconciliation view appears, which lists the questions and responses already in the campaign, alongside those in the new wave. Here, you can make any necessary manual changes to the matches AskiaSurf has identified, either breaking any matchings you disagree with, and matching question together that AskiaSurf has missed. You can tell at a glance which questions and responses were not perfectly matched, as they are color-coded in the reconciliation view.
If you opted to use inheritance for the new wave, then any manual matchings previously made in the project are carried over for the new wave.
