Creating portfolio links (AskiaVista)

You can create and manage custom links to your portfolios. You can share these links with co-workers or clients, giving them access to your saved portfolios, and allowing you to control the way in which the portfolio is presented.

Portfolio links are managed in the portfolio links view. To open the portfolio links view, click the  View menu, then Portfolio links.

When it is displayed, the portfolio links view view hides several areas of the screen (the table results and the properties, rows, columns and edges panels). To close the view (and reveal these areas of the screen again), click Close located at the top right-hand corner of the screen. Alternatively, at the top of the screen, click View, then Cross-Tab def.

Note: when you specify an expiry date for a portfolio link, anyone who tries to access the survey after this date will see a basic error message.  However, you can define your own custom expiry screen. For details, see the Knowledge Base article set up an expired portfolio page for AskiaVista 6 portfolios.

Deleting a portfolio link

You can delete a previously saved portfolio link, if you have the appropriate access rights for that portfolio link.

Testing and sharing a portfolio link

When you are defining a portfolio link, you can test it in order to see how it will appear to the eventual recipients. If you are satisfied with its appearance, you can then obtain the link URL to send to the recipients.

To test the portfolio link, ensure it is saved, so that you will be testing the current version of the link (see saving the portfolio link above), then click Test link:

The portfolio link page opens in a new browser tab, allowing you to test it, and check what the recipient will see.
