You can create and manage custom links to your portfolios. You can share these links with co-workers or clients, giving them access to your saved portfolios, and allowing you to control the way in which the portfolio is presented.
Portfolio links are managed in the portfolio links view. To open the portfolio links view, click the View menu, then Portfolio links.
When it is displayed, the portfolio links view view hides several areas of the screen (the table results and the properties, rows, columns and edges panels). To close the view (and reveal these areas of the screen again), click Close located at the top right-hand corner of the screen. Alternatively, at the top of the screen, click View, then Cross-Tab def.

To create a portfolio link:

Sometimes, you will want to create a new portfolio link based on an existing one. This means that you only need to set up some aspects of the new portfolio link, rather than defining it from the ground up.
To duplicate a portfolio link:

Link parameter: This is the ending of the URL for the link. If you leave this blank, askiavista will automatically generate the parameter. You can enter your own string of characters to define your own custom URL (e.g. surveyreport2014).
Name: Specify a name for the portfolio link. The name will appear in the header of the generated portfolio link.
Description: This optional field allows you to enter a description for the portfolio link to help you identify the link in future.
Portfolio: In the drop-down list, select the portfolio you want to link to.
Default display: In the drop-down list, select the portfolio element (table, chart or section page) you want to display by default. Note that recipients of the link will be able to switch to other tables and charts in the portfolio.
Expires at: If you want the portfolio link to become unavailable on a certain date, specify that date here. Click in the box, and then use the date selector to specify the expiration date. By default, people trying to access the survey after this date will see a basic error message. However, you can define your own custom expiry screens. Layout: Select sidebar if you want the portfolio tables/charts to be presented in a sidebar at the left-hand edge of the screen. Select horizontal menu if you want them to be presented in a drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
Theme: Themes allows you to customize the look and feel of the portfolio link screen. If your askiavista account already contains one or more themes, you can select them here. You can also click Manage to define, share and delete themes. See managing portfolio link themes for details.
Left logo: In the drop-down list, select the logo that you want to appear at the top left of your portfolio link screen, or select None to have no logo in that position. You can upload image files to your account, to use as logos: see managing resources for details. The logo can be set up to link to a specific URL when clicked. In Title, enter the text you want to appear in the tooltip that appears when the mouse pointer is held over the logo. In Target URL, enter the URL that you want the logo to link to when clicked, or leave it blank if you do not want the logo to act as a clickable link.
Right logo: In the drop-down list, select the logo that you want to appear at the top right of your portfolio link screen, or select None to have no logo in that position. You can upload image files to your account, to use as logos: see managing resources for details. The logo can be set up to link to a specific URL when clicked. In Title, enter the text you want to appear in the tool-tip that appears when the mouse pointer is held over the logo. In Target URL, enter the URL that you want the logo to link to when clicked, or leave it blank if you do not want the logo to act as a clickable link.
Footer: Enter the text that you want to appear at the bottom of the portfolio link screen, or leave this field blank to have no text appear there.
Filters - additional filter: If you select a filter from the drop-down list, it is applied to all tables and charts in the portfolio. It cannot be switched off by the person viewing the portfolio link.
Filters - allow access: This option determines whether other filters will be available to recipients of the link. If so, they will be able to apply or remove these filters as desired. Note that any filters they apply will be in addition to any filter you select in Additional filter (see above). Select here as follows:
Cannot access: the recipient will not be able to apply any filters.
Access all filters: the recipient will be able to apply any of the filters available in the portfolio. If you select Allow multiple selection, he or she will be able to apply more than one filter at the same time.
Only access selected filters: If you select this option, the Available filters box appears, which allows you to specify the filters that will be available to link recipients. Click in this box to select a filter from the drop-down list, and thereby add it to the list of filters available to the respondent. Click the x icon to remove a filter from the box. If you select Allow multiple selection, he or she will be able to apply more than one filter at the same time.
Available filters: Used to specify the filters available to the respondent if you select Only access seleted filters in Filters - allow access. See above for details.
Allow multiple selection: If selected, link recipients will be able to apply more than one filter at the same time to the tables and charts in the portfolio. This applies only if you make filters available to the recipient by selecting Access all filters or Only access seleted filters in Filters - allow access. See above for details.
Questions - allow access: This option allows you to grant access to questions from a profile or profiles; link recipients can then use these questions in the rows, columns or edges of the tables/charts in the portfolio. When they select a question, any question in the rows, columns or edges will be substituted with the one they selected.
Cannot access: link recipients will not be able to select questions to appear in the rows, columns or edges of the tables/charts they view.
Rows: link recipients will be able to select questions (from the selected profile or profiles) to appear in the rows of the tables/charts they view.
Columns: link recipients will be able to select questions (from the selected profile or profiles) to appear in the columns of the tables/charts they view.
Edges: link recipients will be able to select questions (from the selected profile or profiles) to appear in the edges of the tables/charts they view.
Questions - target: Specifies which questions will be available for link recipients to display in their tables/charts. Select as follows:
Questions from a profile: Allows you to specify a single profile from which link recipients will be able to select questions. They will be able to select any of the questions in the profile. Select the profile in the box below, Available questions.
Profiles: Allows you to specify one or more profiles from which link recipients will be able to select questions. They will be able to select any of the questions in the selected profile or profiles. Select the profiles in the box below, Available profiles.
Questions - available questions: if you selected Questions from a profile in Target (see above), then you can select the profile here. Link recipients will be able to select questions for display from this profile.
Questions - available profiles: if you selected Profiles in Target (see above), then you can select the profiles here. Link recipients will be able to select questions for display from these profiles.
When you have finished creating or editing the portfolio link, you will want to save your changes. At the top of the variables view, click Save the portfolio link:

You can delete a previously saved portfolio link, if you have the appropriate access rights for that portfolio link.

Yes.When you are defining a portfolio link, you can test it in order to see how it will appear to the eventual recipients. If you are satisfied with its appearance, you can then obtain the link URL to send to the recipients.
To test the portfolio link, ensure it is saved, so that you will be testing the current version of the link (see saving the portfolio link above), then click Test link:

The portfolio link page opens in a new browser tab, allowing you to test it, and check what the recipient will see.
