AskiaTools enables you to purge a *.QES file of its interviews. You can delete all of the interviews, the uncompleted interviews, or a specific set of interviews (by writing a script).
To delete interviews from a QES file:
edit menu, select one of the following commands:Delete all interviews: Use this command to completely purge a *.QES file of all the interviews it contains.
Delete uncompleted interviews: Use this command to purge a *.QES file of all the incomplete interviews it contains.
Delete a selection of interviews: Use this command to purge a *.QES file of specific interviews (you can select the interviews to be deleted according to various criteria; you can use multiple criteria if you wish):
with a script (click ... next to additional filter and enter the script); note that you must also specify a date range or completed and/or incomplete interviews, or else no interviews will be affected;
by interview start and end date;
completes: completed interviews, and/or
incompletes: incomplete interviews.
pick a random selection of: this option allows you to limit the number of interviews that will be deleted. If you select this option and enter a number in the adjacent box, then that specific number of interviews will be randomly chosen and deleted. For example, if you enter 50, then a maximum of 50 randomly-selected interviews will be deleted. If you also set up a filter using the other options in the window (completes/incompletes, date, additional filter, etc.), then interviews will be selected for deletion only if they satisfy that filter.
