When specifying a volume in AskiaSurf, you can store the path name in one of three formats: absolute, relative or network.
In a network path, the location and name of a file are expressed using the Universal Naming Convention (UNC)
A UNC path takes the form of a double backslash, then the computer's network name, then a single backslash, then the rest of the path, as follows:
computer namepath
For example:
pegasusresearch datapensions studywave1wave1.qes
A network path will continue to work if you move the campaign (QEW) file to a different location on the same computer or even on the network, as the computer name is unique. It is therefore the recommended path format to use if you want to refer to a file on a network drive.
