Analysis level examples (AskiaAnalyse and AskiaVista)

This topic contains examples of using different analysis levels in your table definitions.

Basic example

Suppose we have interviewed a total of 100 people. We ask them to state the number of people in their household. We then use this value to iterate a question asking the age of each household member. The following questions appear:

• Number of people in the household (loop)

• Age of household members (sub-question)

  • Age of household member 1 - 100 households answer this
  • Age of household member 2 - 75 households answer this
  • Age of household member 3 - 50 households answer this

When we change the Level, we can have a base for our tables and charts as the number of household members (225 people), rather than the number of households (100).
