Creating a cross-tab (AskiaVista)

To create a new cross-tab definition in AskiaVista:

1. First, ensure you are in Cross-Tab def view: in the View menu at the top of the screen, select Cross-Tab Def.
2. At the top of the screen, click New. Note that any table definition you currently have open will be lost (if it has not previously been saved to a portfolio; see saving a crosstab to a portfolio for details).
3. To add questions/loops to your table, simply drag and drop them from the question list (in the left-hand panel) into the table view, or to the rows/columns/edges panels. Note that you cannot add open text questions to a cross-tab, although you can add them to raw data tables.
