Askiaanalyse allows you to re-code numeric variables. This involves three stages.
First of all, you must split the numeric variable into separate intervals. To do this:
Drag the variable into the rows, columns or edges tab of table/chart definition.
Right-click the variable, and select numeric, then find all values.
Next, you must set the desired intervals for each category. To do so:
Right-click the answer category, and select properties. The response properties dialog appears.
In the interval group, select the value, or range of values, that you wish the response to have. For more information see response properties.
Click OK.
Finally, if required, rename the responses and/or change their order:
To rename a response, in the rows, columns or edges tab, click the response and type a new name.
To re-order the responses, simply drag and drop them into the desired order.
