To view the results of your table definition, click the results tab at the bottom of the screen. You can return to the table definition view by clicking the definition tab at the bottom of the screen (or by using the keyboard shortcut SHIFT+F5).
When there is only one table or chart, it is displayed immediately; otherwise, a list of numbered pages, labelled with the corresponding question names, appears.
To view the content of any page, simply double-click it.
To preview your tables before printing them, click
in the toolbar, or in the file menu, select print preview. To print them, click
in the toolbar, or in the file menu, select print.
To export your tables to a portfolio, click
in the toolbar. To export them directly to Word, Excel, PowerPoint or an ASCII file, in the file menu, select export.
You can quickly change the appearance of your table by applying a table style from the library; you can also create your own table styles and save them to the library for future use. For more details on changing table appearance, see table styles.
The context (right-click) menu is available when viewing a table (not when viewing a list of tables). The commands are as follows:
Cut: Cut the selected element to the clipboard. You can also use the shortcut CTRL+X.
Copy: Copy the selected element to the clipboard. You can also use the shortcut CTRL+C.
Paste: Paste an element from the clipboard. You can also use the shortcut CTRL+V.
Paste presentation: Paste the formatting of a copied question to another question (bold, colour, groupings, etc.).
Group: Group the selected items (these items will then be de-selected). You must first select two or more items before this command becomes available.
Dissociate: Dissociate (un-group) the selected group of questions.
Delete: Delete the selected question.
Border type: Specify the style, colour and size of the selected cell border. The border type dialog appears. This command becomes available when you select the edge of a cell.
Page border: Specify the style, colour and size of the page border for printing.
Series: This option is available only for charts. It allows you to define the appearance of the data series in your chart.
Legend: This option is available only for charts. It allows you to define the appearance of the chart legend.
Margins: This option is available only for charts. It allows you to define the chart margins.
Axes: This option is available only for charts. It allows you to define the contents and layout of the chart axes.
Walls: This option is available only for charts. It allows you to define the appearance of the chart "walls" (i.e. the edges and background).
Labels: This option is available only for charts. It allows you to add custom text labels to your chart.
Next page/Next tab: Display the next page. You can also use the shortcut F4.
Previous page/Previous tab: Display the preceding page. You can also use the shortcut SHIFT+ F4.
Return to the list of pages/tabs: View all the tables in list form.
Recalculate: Refresh the table, according to the current data.
