AskiaAnalyse allows you to export data:
You can export part or all of a questionnaire, as either a number of individual respondents (sub-population), or as questions. You can also use this feature to export an askiasurf QEW project (with many waves) as a single, stand-alone QES file.
To export data, open the file menu and select export a sub-population... or export a set of questions... as appropriate. For details, follow the links below:
The export a sub-population... feature allows you to export the questionnaire, and include only the interviews corresponding to the specified sub-population.
Select an existing sub-population, or create one.
Enter a name for your new QES.
To export the sub-population in inverted data format, select exported as inverted database. This allows fast exporting of data from a QES, AskiaField surveys, and for AskiaSurf files. When exporting to an inverted file, you can include calculated variables in the export by selecting them in the list. This is particularly useful if you are exporting to another analysis package, and you want to include a calculated question based on weighting. Note that you can include questions that have been hidden (with the not visible in analyse setting in AskiaDesign), by changing the global AskiaAnalyse setting show "not in analyse" questions anyway.
export to inverted database was used, incorrect level ID files were created. This meant that when interviews were merged from the inverted file, developed questions were not read in AskiaAnalyse 5.3.4. If you cannot re-export the data with AskiaAnalyse version 5.3.4 or later, which is the preferred remedy, you can use the AskiaTools feature fix inverted files to repair the problem with the inverted database.The export a set of questions... function allows you to create a new .qes containing only the specified variables.
Select the level for export. This allows you to export questions from a specific data level. An alternative method is by using the stacked export feature of AskiaTools.
In the directory tree, select the questions you want to export and drag them to the window.
You can export directly from your charts and tables or from portfolios:
to an analysis file, then from that file to Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint or in ASCII;
directly to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or an ASCII file.
by copying entire tables, or parts of them, to the clipboard, and pasting them into Excel.
To export charts and tables, in the file menu, click export, and select the type of export you require. Alternatively for exports to Word, Excel or PowerPoint, you can use the equivalent shortcuts in the standard toolbar (when you are viewing the table definition results or a portfolio).
