General properties (AskiaVista)

The General category in the properties panel allows you to define the main properties and settings of your tables and charts. The options are as follows:

Property Description
Title

The title for your table/chart specification. AskiaVista keywords can be used here.

You can display a custom sub-title and table of contents, each of which can differ from the main title. To do so, separate the titles with double vertical bars, as follows:

Title||sub title||table of contents title

Note that If you omit the table of contents title, then it will be the same as the main title. If you omit the table of contents title and the sub-title, the sub-title will be blank, and the table of contents title will be the same as the main title.

Top-left cell The text that you want to appear in your table's top left cell. AskiaVista keywords can be used here.
Footnote A footnote that will appear beneath the table. AskiaVista keywords can be used here.
Filter

Allows you to define or select the sub-population that will be used in the table/chart. for details.

Note: you can drag and drop responses directly into the Filters box.

Level

Allows you to select the analysis Level of the table/chart.

Weighting

Allows you to select the weighting for the table/chart. Note: Weightings are defined in AskiaAnalyse only.

Universe Allows you to define or select the table/chart calculation base.

Table style

Allows you to apply a pre-defined layout style to your table; simply select the desired table style from the list.

Chart

If you want a chart to accompany your table, select the appropriate chart style here (or No chart if you do not want to include a chart).

Note: It is possible to add other chart types to AskiaVista that are not available by default. To do so, see the Knowledge Base article: Adding new chart types to AskiaVista 6.x.

Transpose table If selected, the rows and columns of the table are switched (rows will be placed vertically in the table and columns horizontally).

Transpose chart

If selected, the axes of the chart will be switched.

All in a single page

If selected, your tables and charts will all be displayed on a single page.

Superpose responses

If selected, the responses will be presented as a question table (the answers to similar questions will be totalled).
