This tab of the table settings dialog allows you to control two aspects of how questions and response options will be displayed:
do not sort responses is selected on the associated question properties in the rows, columns or edges of the same table. Similarly, the suppression options described here will not take effect if Allow suppression is unchecked on either the associated question properties or the response properties in the rows, columns or edges of the same table.The item suppression options available are as follows:
| OPTION | DESCRIPTION |
|---|---|
|
Row suppression if counts <= |
The value at which the rows in the tables must be automatically suppressed (values equal to our less than the specified value will cause their rows to be suppressed). If this results in all rows in the table being suppressed, and thus the table would be empty, then the table will not be displayed. |
| Column suppression if counts <= |
Specify the value at which the columns in the tables must be automatically suppressed (values equal to or less than the specified value will cause their columns to be suppressed). When the column is not empty for all edges, use the option treat edges individually in conjunction with this option. If this results in all columns in the table being suppressed, and thus the table would be empty, then the table will not be displayed. |
| Edge suppression if counts <= |
Specify the value at which the edges in the tables must be automatically suppressed (values equal to our less than the specified value will cause their edges to be suppressed). If this results in all edges in the table being suppressed, and thus the table would be empty, then the table will not be displayed. |
| Question suppression if base<= |
The question will be suppressed (removed from the results) if its base is equal to or below the specified level. By selecting this option and setting the value to 0, you can suppress any question that has no responses. |
| Table suppression if base<= |
The table will be suppressed (removed from the results) if its base is equal to or below the specified level. By selecting this option and setting the value to 0, you can suppress blank tables (tables which are completely empty). |
| Use unweighted data for suppression |
Select this option if you want to use the unweighted data to detect suppression thresholds, as defined above. |
|
3-way suppression |
If this option is selected, rows or columns will be deleted when they have a zero value in a cell where row, column, and edge intersect. |
|
Treat edges individually |
Use this option when suppressing columns, and where the column is not empty for all edges. |
| Use "selected response" universe for suppression |
If you select this option, the suppression will always be done on the flat counts results; even when you have a three-way suppression, AskiaAnalyse will find which interview is in the base by ANDing the bases in the three levels. |
rows/columns/edges to verify that Allow suppression is enabled (i.e. checked). If it is unchecked, your suppression rules will not apply to that question or response option. The sort options available are as follows:

rows/columns/edges to verify that one of the Allow sorting of responses options is selected. If Do not sort responses is selected, the sort order you selected here will not take effect.
