Sort and suppression |
Allows the answers to a question to be sorted by frequency of response. This option group contains two selectors, as follows: 1. Three radio buttons to specify the type of sort to be performed. The following options are therefore mutually exclusive:
2. A single checkbox:
Note: the sort setting when you first drop a question into rows, columns, or edges during table definition will either be do not sort responses or allow sorting of responses, depending on the global option sort question (by default).

Settings |
Allow calculations for numerics: This checkbox option allows the display of statistics on a question for which weightings have been assigned to each answer (response scaled). You then need to choose which type of numeric aggregation you require. Numeric aggregation: If the option "Allow calculations for numerics" is selected, this option specifies the calculation method used to aggregate the weighted numeric data. The methods are as follows:
Transform into NR: An optional list of codes which will be treated as system DK or no response. This will have the adding them to the System DK value for the question and no longer treating them as a valid response to the question, or including them in the mean or the question base. Transform into NA: An optional list of codes which will be treated as not asked (also known as system NA). This will have the effect of adding them to the System NA value for the question and no longer treating them as a valid response to the question, or including them in the mean or the question base. Break table after: Insert a caesura, meaning cut the page after this question. If this option is activated, the text page break appears in the Develop questions at run-time. This option only applies to questions within a loop. If selected, this will ensure that all available questions within a loop will be developed whenever the table is run, even if the number of iteratated questions within the loop has increased since the last time the table was run. If this option is not selected, then the user is responsible for adding in any new questions that the loop may contain, as the table will only contain those loop questions present when the table was previously defined. |

Responses |
Caption format: Allows you to apply a specific format to the categories of an answer on questions with graded answers. Example 1: %c: %V Allows you to have the response (%c) followed by the value (%V): 'Definitely: 10' , 'Fairly: 5', etc.
Example 2: %V kms 5 kms , 10 kms, etc.
Example 3: %C Allows you to have the responses in capitals: 'DEFINITELY', 'FAIRLY' |

Custom weighting |

Any settings you make here will be displayed against the question in the Sub-population: Select the sub-population that you want to use for this question. Universe: Select the universe that you want to use for this question. Weighting: Select the weighting that you want to use for this question. Level: Select the level that you want to use for this question. Note: If you leave a setting on default, Askia will use the settings specified in the general tab.
